8 months after the European Championships in Crozet in which he participated with Dinja van Liere, the stallion Hermes will return to competition this week, ridden by his new rider. Fourth at the Paris Olympics, Dinja van Liere & Hermes were in Crozet, finishing fourth in the Grand Prix with 76.941%, eighth in the Grand Prix Special with 75.486%, and just now thirteenth in the Freestyle with 77.82%; their final performance since winning a bronze medal at the 2022 World Championships in Herning. Since then, the son of Easy Game had stayed at the stable. The 14-year-old stallion will compete tomorrow in an Inter II U25 class, presented by Eline Anker, the daughter of his co-owner, in Wezep. Never short of horses, German rider Isabell Werth is preparing to debut a new mount in competition: Back for Good. Bred by Uwe Ogonowski, Back for Good is an 9-year-old DSP stallion, approved in his studbook in 2020, by Ben Benicio and Quando Quando. Having competed very little to date, he was competing in young horse classes in Germany with Anna Weilert, then reappeared in a Small Tour class with Australian William Matthew in 2024, followed by a second class in 2025 with Pablo Escobar in June 2025, the date of his last appearance. Although no video of Back for Good seems to be available online for free at the moment, things could change quickly as Isabell Werth will be entering this chestnut horse in the Louis d'Or competitions, intended for young Grand Prix horses, at the Hagen competition from April 22 to 26; a level where her stables will also be represented by Niklaas Feilzer & Valdiviani and Lisa Wernitznig & Majestic Taonga.

Dutchrider Dinja van Liere is preparing for the future: she has indeed invested, alongside the Reesink stables, in a new 3-year-old stallion named Escador. Bred by Elizabeth Kapp, Escador is a son of the very popular in the Netherlands Extreme US, out of a Dancier mare. Presented for Hanoverian studbook approval last autumn, he was approved and then sold for €140,000 in Germany to Judith Koeppel of the 360° Sportpferde stables. On the dam's side of this young stallion's, we find Energy, sold for €700,000 to Glock Stables in 2017; the stallion Schneefall, ridden in Grand Prix competitions in Germany by Susanne Mohr; and Obama, sold for €135,000 at the same licensing to Haras de Celle. La néerlandaise Dinja van Liere prépare l'avenir : elle a en effet investi, aux côtés des écuries Reesink, dans un nouvel étalon de 3 ans nommé Escador. Né chez Elizabeth Kapp, Escador est un fils du très populaire aux Pays-Bas Extreme US, né d'une mère par Dancier. Présenté à l'approbation du studbook Hanovrien l'automne dernier, il y était approuvé puis commercialisé 140.000€ en Allemagne à Judith Koeppel des écuries 360° Sportpferde. Dans la lignée maternelle de ce jeune étalon, on retrouve Energy, vendu 700.000€ aux écuries Glock en 2017, l'étalon Schneefall monté sur le Grand Prix en Allemagne par Susanne Mohr ou encore Obama, vendu 135.000€ lors de la même approbation au haras de Celle. After a 14-year international career, Sir Donnerhall II Old has now said goodbye to competition, in Fort Worth, at the end of his 6th World Cup Final where he finished 13th. Born in Germany at Maik Kanitzky's stud farm, Sir Donnerhall II Old is none other than the full brother of Sir Donnerhall I, reserve champion at the Oldenburg licensing in 2003 and reserve champion at the 5-year-old World Championships in 2005. Initially trained by Merle Güldenstern and Wolhard Witte for his breeder, Sir Donnerhall II then went through the Vechta auction, where he was acquired by the Nyrerod family in Sweden. Sent to Andreas Helgstrand, the stallion joined Thomas Sigtenbjerggaard's string of horses, with whom he won a bronze medal at the 6-year-old World Championships in 2012. The Barbançon family then acquired him as Painted Black's successor. The story could have ended there, as Sir Donnerhall II Old suffered a serious accident in 2013 in Falsterbo : while rolling, the son of Sandro Hit sustained a severe injury when he went through one of the wooden walls of his boxe. Despite an initial very guarded prognosis, with the on-site veterinarian considering euthanasia due to a nearly 40 cm wound and damaged ligaments, "Gus" was ultimately saved after surgery, three months in the hospital, and months of rehabilitation. More than two years passed before Sir Donnerhall II returned to competition; a comeback at the highest level that he made in the Small Tour at Maastricht in November 2014. After 10 years at Grand Prix level, Sir Donnerhall II's career has come to an end with one of the most impressive track records in the history of French dressage. First competing under Spanish flag and then under the French ones, the Oldenburg, with its incredibly expressive trot and extended canter, enabled his rider to qualify for 8 World Cup Finals, compete in the European Championships in Rotterdam and Hagen, the World Championships in Herning, the Tokyo Olympic Games, become French Pro Elite Champion, win 15 CDI competitions, and participate in such prestigious events as Lyon, Stuttgart, London Olympia, Neumünster, 's-Hertogenbosch, Rotterdam, and Doha. At 20 years old, Sir Donnerhall II has therefore finished with the sport, leaving it after having made his mark with his consistency: he was still breaking the 72% barrier a month ago at the Motesice World Cup event. Clearly moved after his exit from the ring, Morgan Barbançon confided, " It's a bittersweet moment. I'm very happy, I enjoyed myself even if I'm a little disappointed with the score. L'histoire aurait pu s'arrêter là puisque Sir Donnerhall II Old était alors victime d'un lourd accident en 2013 sur le concours de Falsterbo : en se roulant, le fils de Sandro Hit se blessait en effet lourdement, du boulet jusqu'au jarret, en traversant une des parois en bois de son boxe... Malgré un premier pronostic très réservé puisque le vétérinaire présent sur place envisageait son euthanasie en raison d'un plaie de prêt de 40 cm et des ligaments touchés, « Gus » était finalement sauvé après une opération, trois mois de clinique et des mois de soins. Plus de deux ans s'écoulèrent donc avant le retour de Sir Donnerhall II en CDI ; une reprise du haut niveau qu'il effectuait sur le Petit Tour, à Maastricht en novembre 2014. Après 10 ans passés sur le Grand Prix, Sir Donnerhall II voit donc aujourd'hui sa carrière s'achever avec un des plus riches palmarès de l'histoire du dressage tricolore. D'abord sous couleurs espagnoles puis sous pavillon français, le Oldenbourg aux appuyers au trot et au galop allongé terriblement expressifs aura permis à sa cavalière de se qualifier pour 8 Finales de la Coupe du Monde, de s'aligner sur les Championnats d'Europe de Rotterdam et Hagen, aux Championnats du Monde de Herning, aux Jeux Olympiques de Tokyo, d'être Championne de France Pro Elite, de s'imposer 15 fois en CDI et de participer à des concours aussi prestigieux que Lyon, Stuttgart, London Olympia, Neumünster, 's-Hertogenbosch, Rotterdam ou encore Doha. A 20 ans, Sir Donnerhall II en a donc fini avec le sport qu'il quitte après l'avoir marqué de sa régularité : il franchissait d'ailleurs encore la barre des 72% il y a un mois sur l'étape Coupe du Monde de Motesice. Franchement émue après sa sortie de piste, Morgan Barbançon confiait " c'est un moment un peu doux-amer. Je suis très contente, j'ai pris du plaisir même si je suis un peu déçue des points. Her victory was expected, and she didn't disappoint: at 46, Great Britain's Becky Moody, riding Jagerbomb, won the Fort Worth World Cup Final last night—the first of her career. This victory allowed the United Kingdom to maintain its dominance on the circuit after Charlotte Fry and Glamourdale's victory in 2025. A look back at an evening/night of dressage. In front of a still very (too) sparse crowd, but with the support of an audience that nevertheless dared to express its enthusiasm (and it's good to sometimes see that !), Becky Moody and Jagerbomb presented their freestyle. Without any major mistakes, the son of Dante Weltino nevertheless showed pirouettes that could have been generally more uphill, as well as a collected walk slightly fast ; it must be said that the British rider seems careful to maintain the activity. Harmonious and in perfect harmony, they also achieved their new personal best of 88.330%. In second place, we again find the American, Christian Simonson and his Indian Rock; a pair who knew how to catch the audience into their world, particularly thanks to the music from the film Rocky. Also without any major faults, the Americans have certainly earned their ticket to the World Championships in Aachen this summer. Always very expressive, the stallion by Apache nevertheless was sometimes short in th neck, especially in his two times flying changes, even though his rider often rode him with a loose double bride rein; a new personal best for them as well: 83.810%. Third in the Grand Prix, Patrik Kittel ultimately missed out on a podium finish, which was claimed by Polish rider Sandra Sysojeva and her mare Maxima Bella. Never lacking in energy, the inexhaustible Oldenburg once again demonstrated the extent of its talent with its piaffe and passage, ultimately captivating the Texas crowd, who were cheered on by Beyoncé's "Texas Hold 'Em!" Elle permettait donc au Royaume-Uni de conserver sa main mise sur le circuit après la victoire en 2025 de Charlotte Fry & Glamourdale. Retour sur une soirée/nuit de dressage. Devant des tribunes encore très (trop) clairsemées mais avec le soutien d'un public qui osait tout de même exprimer son enthousiasme (et ça fait du bien de le voir de temps en temps ! ), Becky Moody & Jagerbomb présentaient donc leur libre. Sans faute majeure, le fils de Dante Weltino proposait néanmoins des pirouettes qui auraient globalement être plus montantes ainsi qu'un pas rassemblé au rythme un peu rapide ; il faut dire que la britannique semble vigilante au maintien de l'activité. Homogène et ensemble, ils décrochaient d'ailleurs leur nouveau record personnel de 88.330%. . A la seconde place, on retrouve à nouveau l'américain, Christian Simonson et son Indian Rock ; un couple qui savait embarquer le public dans leur univers, en particulier grâce à la musique du film Rocky.
