More than a year after his last competition, and his participation in the CDI 3* organized alongside the 's-Hertogenbosch World Cup, Go Legend, now former Grand Prix horse of the Dutch rider Marlies van Baalen, is back in the news with the official announcement of his sale in the United States. The 15-year-old stallion by Totilas and Ferro, with whom Marlies van Baalen competed at the Tokyo Olympics and the European Championships in Hagen, left Europe a year ago, it was learned today. He is now owned by Catherine Camenish, a student of Jennifer Conour. He does not appear to have competed in North America. In addition to his selections for the Dutch team and his victory in the Rotterdam Nations Cup in 2021, the KWPN, out of the same dam as the stallion Painted Black, won the Medium Tour in Saumur in 2019 and distinguished himself with two second-places in the Grand Prix at the CDI in Leeuwarden and Exloo in 2023 and 2024. Marlies van Baalen, meanwhile, has not appeared internationally since the Nations Cup in Rotterdam last year, in which she participated with the powerful Habibi DVB.

L'étalon de 15 ans par Totilas et Ferro, avec qui Marlies van Baalen participait aux Jeux Olympiques de Tokyo et aux Championnats d'Europe de Hagen, a quitté l'Europe depuis un an apprend-t-on aujourd'hui. Il est désormais propriété de Catherine Camenish ; une élève de Jennifer Conour. Il ne semble pas avoir concouru outre-Atlantique Outre ses sélections en équipe hollandaise et sa victoire dans la Coupe des Nations de Rotterdam en 2021, le KWPN, issu de la même mère que l'étalon Painted Black, s'imposait à Saumur en 2019 sur le Medium Tour et se distinguait avec deux secondes places sur le Grand Prix des CDI de Leeuwarden et Exloo en 2023 et 2024. Marlies van Baalen n'est quant à elle plus apparue en international depuis la Coupe des Nations de Rotterdam l'année dernière à laquelle elle participait avec le puissant Habibi DVB.

Presque 14 mois après son dernier concours international, Go Legend sera bientôt de retour à la compétition. L'étalon de 12 ans par Totilas et Ferro, avec lequel la hollandaise Marlies van Baalen participait aux Jeux Olympiques de Tokyo et aux Championnats d'Europe de Hagen, concourrait pour la dernière fois en mars 2022 sur l'étape Coupe du Monde de s'Hertogenbosch où il prenait alors deux 7 ème places. Ils achevaient prématurément leur saison 2022 en raison d'une blessure à la sangle que les contraignait à renoncer notamment au CDIO d'Aix la Chapelle. Le KWPN, issu de la même mère que l'étalon Painted Black, est désormais attendu au départ du CDI 3* d'Exloo organisé aux Pays-Bas du 4 au 7 mai ; un retour qui permet à sa cavalière d'être bien équipée pour envisager les prochains Championnats d'Europe. Since midday, the new ranking established by the FEI show changes in the world's top three. While the top spot remains held by Denmark's Cathrine Laudrup Dufour, there has been movement in the other top positions. Justin Verboomen, who finished second last month, has dropped one place, allowing Charlotte Fry to move from fourth to second. Isabell Werth has fallen off the podium to fourth. Other notable changes include Sandra Sysojeva's jump from 11th to sixth place, Daniel Bachmann Andersen's leap from 136th to 18th last month, Charlott-Maria Schürmann's entry directly into the rankings at 38th, and Corentin Pottier's impressive climb from 177th to 39th. Depuis ce midi, le nouveau classement permanent établi par la Fédération Equestre Internationale montre du changement dans le Top 3 mondial. Si la tête reste occupée par la danoise Cathrine Laudrup Dufour, il y a du mouvement aux places d'honneur. Second le mois dernier, Justin Verboomen recule en effet d'une place, au profit de Charlotte Fry qui passe de la 4 ème place à la seconde. Isabell Werth descend du podium pour être 4 ème. Parmi les autres évolutions notables, on peut relever le passage de la 11 ème à la 6 ème place de Sandra Sysojeva, le bond de Daniel Bachmann Andersen qui grimpe sur la 18 ème marche alors qu'il était 136 ème le mois dernier, l'entrée de Charlott-Maria Schürmann, directement au 38 ème rang et la forte remontée de Corentin Pottier de la 177 ème à la 39 ème place. Coté français, la tête reste occupée par Pauline Basquin qui gagne 4 places pour être 27 ème, suivie de Corentin Pottier 39 ème donc, Morgan Barbançon 49 ème, Camille Judet Chéret 52 ème, Alexandre Ayache 75 ème et Bertrand Liegard 143 ème. Après deux premières étapes disputées au Mans et au Haras de Jardy en mars, le circuit fédéral de dressage fait escale en Alsace cette semaine à Ribeauvillé où se déroule la troisième étape de la saison 2026. Né en 2024 à l’initiative d’acteurs locaux à l'époque : le Centre Equestre des Deux Rives, PG Team de Ribeauvillé, Association La Serpentine et instances régionales (CDE et CRE), le concours confirme sa montée en puissance plus de 500 engagements répartis entre épreuves Pro, Amateurs, As, Para Dressage et Jeunes Chevaux SHF. Venus de Belgique, Antoine Nowakowski & London Girl prenaient donc la 1 ère place. Très sérieuse, l'alezane de 10 ans par Londontime présentait une reprise homogène néanmoins fautive dans les changements de pied aux deux temps notée d'un 68.587% et même 71.630% pour Valérie Anne Hauchart. Dans un style différent mais à un cheveu, la seconde place revenait au normand Mathieu Berville et son Fragolino du Parc ; un couple qui faisait ses débuts sur le Grand Prix en CDI il y a deux semaines à Fontainebleau. Légèrement résistant dans le reculer, l'étalon par Don Juan de Hus mettait un peu de temps à s'installer dans son premier piaffer et fautait au début de la ligne de changements de pied aux deux temps. Mathieu Berville & Fragolino du Parc obtenaient un 68.543%. Locale de l'étape, Rachel Bastady complétait le podium du jour avec Maserati HDS, le fils Morricone de 10 ans, lui aussi né en Alsace chez Agathe Stempflin, qui lui permettait d'être vice-Championne de France Pro 2 en 2025. Après le Grand Prix du 3*, remporté ce matin par Diana Porsche & Dahoud à 69.348%, du côté de Mariakalnok aussi le dressage continue d'occuper les carrières hongroises avec le Grand Prix Coupe du Monde. Si un rapide coup d'oeil à la liste de départ permet de constater que seuls 9 couples prenaient tout à l'heure le départ, une attention plus poussée permettait d'y voir surement une satisfaction des organisateurs qui réussissaient tout de même à réunir Corentin Pottier, 4 ème de la Finale Coupe du Monde de Bâle en 2025, Sandra Sysojeva & Maxima Bella, 3 èmes cette année à Fort Worth, Jessica von Bredow, qui remportait le circuit indoor de la FEI en 2022 puis 2023 et récente vainqueur sur les CDI 3µ d'Ornago et Bedizzole? ou encore Diana Porsche & Imhotep, l'ex-cheval de Charlotte Dujardin ; une épreuve certes pas vraiment fleuve mais non dénuée d'intérêt sur laquelle on retrouvait aussi Camille Judet Chéret & Herelja Higgins qui avaient aussi une carte à jouer après leurs deux secondes places sur le 4 * de Gössendorf la semaine dernière. Moins d'un mois après la dernière Finale Coupe du Monde (photo), les polonaises s'illustraient à nouveau cette après-midi avec un Grand Prix Prix sans faute même si quelques petits détails ici et là venaient leur faire perdre quelques petits points : un premier arrêt pas parfaitement d'aplomb, un début de ligne aux deux temps qui aurait pu être plus fluide et quelques discussions du contact. Avec un 76.457% et 80% pour Leif Toernblad, Sandra Sysojeva & Maxima Bella peuvent espérer prendre 20 points demain pour la Finale 2027 de Göteborg puisqu'il s'agit de leur nouveau record personnel. Jessica von Bredow Werndl & Times Kismet étaient elles secondes. Manifestement toujours délicate, il était clair que l'allemande devait faire preuve de beaucoup de tact. Après un premier arrêt progressif, la fille de Lord Leatherdale montrait un premier appuyer au trot qui aurait pu être plus incurvé et élastique, des trots allongés avec beaucoup d'action mais également un tendance à se remonter dans la transition pas rassemblé/passage. Un peu plus fébrile dans le galop, elle enchainait 17 changements de pied au temps et commettait un petit désordre avant sa pirouette au galop à gauche. Elles obtenaient un score de 72.304%. Corentin Pottier & Gotilas du Feuillard présentaient aujourd'hui une reprise très homogène, comme ils savent le faire. Actif et bon élève, le hongre de 15 ans était néanmoins fautif sur la ligne de changements de pied aux deux temps ce qui ne les empêchait pas d'atteindre une note de 72.109%. Pour Camille Judet Chéret aussi le week-end hongrois débutait sur un bonne note puisqu'après une reprise sans, la jeune femme et son Herelja Higgins étaient évalués d'un 70.870%, soit la 5 ème place. After the 3* Grand Prix, won this morning by Diana Porsche & Dahoud with 69.348%, dressage continues to take place in the Hungarian arenas in Mariakalnok with the World Cup Grand Prix. While a quick look at the starting list reveals that only 9 pairs took to the start, a closer look surely suggests satisfaction for the organizers who managed to bring together Corentin Pottier, 4th in the Basel World Cup Final in 2025, Sandra Sysojeva & Maxima Bella, 3rd this year in Fort Worth, Jessica von Bredow, who won the FEI indoor circuit in 2022 and 2023 and recent winner of the 3* CDIs in Ornago and Bedizzole, and Diana Porsche & Imhotep, the former horse of Charlotte Dujardin. Less than a month after the last World Cup Final (photo), the Polish riders shone again this afternoon with a flawless Grand Prix, even though a few minor details here and there cost them some points: a first halt that wasn't perfectly square, a two time flying change line that could have started smoother, and some discussion at the contact. With scores of 76.457% and 80% for Leif Toernblad, Sandra Sysojeva and Maxima Bella can hope to earn 20 points tomorrow for the 2027 Final in Gothenburg, as this is their new personal best. Jessica von Bredow Werndl and Times Kismet finished second. The German rider had to demonstrate a great deal of finesse. After a progressive first halt, the daughter of Lord Leatherdale showed a first half-pass at the trot that could have been more curved and elastic, extended trots with plenty of action, but also a tendency to rise in the walk/passage transition. A little more nervous in the canter, she executed 17 tempies flying changes and made a slight mistake before her left-leaning canter pirouette. They obtained a score of 72.304%. Corentin Pottier and Gotilas du Feuillard presented a very consistent test today, as they are known to do.
