World Breeding Championships for Young Horses: another change to the German squad
Having already undergone an initial adjustment a few days ago (see HERE), the German squad for the World Breeding Championships for Young Horses sees an other change with the withdrawal of Silvia Busch-Kuffner and St. Anima from the 5-year-old division.
Selected by the German Federation for the first major event of their respective careers—which was also set to mark their international debut—Silvia Busch-Kuffner and St Anima will ultimately not be traveling to Verden next week. The 50-year-old rider and her mare (by Secret out of a Benetton Dream dam) have been replaced by Jana Marie Thamm and Delight NRW, a Westphalian gelding by Diamond de Luxe out of a Flatley dam, bred by Ursula and Ernst ZG.
Competing yesterday in a national class for 5-year-olds—where they finished fifth—Jana Marie Thamm (last year's German 5-year-old reserve champion with Veni Vedi Vici) and Delight NRW achieved an average score of 8.08.
