For some time now, Hans Peter Minderhoud has been showing, month after month, the horses that now make up his string of horses. This was again the case yesterday with his debut alongside Nero, a mount previously seen with another Dutch rider.
Born as Nero Platinum at Titan Wilaras stables, Nero is a son of Ferguson and Totilas, initially acquired by Rom Vermunt. First ridden by Bart Veeze (vidéo), the bay gelding finished 4th in the Dutch VSN Trophy at age 3; a position he maintained the following year in the 4-year-old classes held alongside the World Young Horse Championships before finishing 15th in the Dutch Championship.
Selected for the 2023 World Championships for 5-year-olds, Nero finished 10th in the competition before taking 6th place in the 2024 6-year-old class. Eurodressage then announced his sale to the United States.
Competing yesterday in a Saint Georges oragnized near 's-Hertogenbosch, in Heeswijk-Dinther, Hans Peter Minderhoud and Nero scored 69.118%; the class was won by Femke de Laat and Nashwille SW with 70.637%.
