It becomes hard to follow : 3 days before the start of the competition, and as the horses arrive on site, there is, once again, a change among the starting pairs, with, finally, the withdrawal of the Canadian Brittany Fraser-Beaulieu and her Jaccardo.

Winners of the Toronto leg in November with a score of 77.520%, and runners-up in Ocala in December and Wellington last February, Brittany Fraser-Beaulieu and her 12-year-old son, Desperado & Jazz, will not be concluding their first year in the CDI with a World Cup Final.

The 37-year-old rider explained in last hours, "It is with great disappointment that I announce that Jaccardo and I will not be able to participate in the World Cup Final this year. He injured himself in his stall earlier this week [...]. We have therefore decided to give him the necessary time [...]. It is obviously a difficult decision, especially after such an exceptional season, but his health and long-term future come first. I am incredibly proud of this horse and everything he has accomplished to bring us here, in his very first year of competition at this level."

Brittany Fraser-Beaulieu could have been the 3rd Canadian to participate in a World Cup Final after Jacqueline Brooks and James Irwin.
