Four years after being partly sold to Madeleine Winter Schulze for Isabell Werth, Majestic Taonga is now closed to Grand Prix. This son of Toto Jr and Jazz, born in the Netherlands at Willeke Bos's stud farm, was approved by the KWPN and then the DWB in 2020. Presented only once in Denmark, for Andreas Helgstrand stables, in a 4-year-old class in September 2021 by Merita Hagren, the stallion moved to Isabell Werth's yard at the age of 5. He then joined the string of horses of Austrian rider Lisa Wernitznig, who entered him in competitions in Germany from 2023. Starting in the Small Tour in 2024, the stallion was selected the same year for the 7-year-old World Championship, where they finished 13th in the preliminary round with 75.025%, second in the Small Final with 75.950%, and 10th in the Final with 76.415%. Absent from competition since November 2025 when he competed in the Small Tour level, Majestic Taonga returned to competition yesterday at an Inter II event held near Düsseldorf. Despite some resistances and contacts discussions, the KWPN stallion started this level without any major faults, with a piaffe already respectably performed on the spot and pirouettes that looked easy; a first attempt scored at 72.982%. Majestic Taonga is already the sire of three approved stallions.

After a 3* Grand Prix largely dominated by Germany (see HERE ), today no less than 27 combinations took part in the 4* Grand Prix, with again some serious German contenders but also Larissa Pauluis and her Flambeau who were expected to play spoiler against this possible hegemony! Katharina Hemmer & Denoix are back in action: the German rider working with and for Hubertus Schmidt finished 4th yesterday with Special Gold PCH. Not perfectly square in his halt before the rein back, the chestnut by Destano showed a canter start that could have been cleaner, but also an easy and fluid zig-zag, like his times by the way ; a solid and fault free test scored at 75.587%. Expected in Frankfurt where they withdrawn, Ingrid Klimke and Vayron also returned to competition today after the European Championships in Crozet. Sometimes a little short in the front and with a resistant contact, the gigantic 15-year-old son of Vitalis displayed, as usual, spectacular extended trots, elastic half passes, but also some pirouettes still a bit difficult. With a score of 72.848%, they finished second. Almost assured of securing her place at the Fort Worth World Cup Final, Larissa Pauluis remains loyal to Lier this year again, where her First Step Valentin now ridden by Charlotte Defalque made their CDI debut yesterday with an encouraging 69.891%, placing them 5th. The smiling Belgian rider and her 16-year-old KWPN started their test cautiously. More stable in the front than sometimes in the trot, passage, and piaffe, the son of Ampere nevertheless made a mistake at the time and left the arena with a score of 72.435%. Pas tout à fait carré dans son arrêt avant le reculer, l'alezan par Destano présentait un départ au galop qui aurait plus être plus net mais aussi un zig zag facile et fluide, comme ses temps d'ailleurs ; une reprise homogène et sans accroc évaluée d'un 75.587%. Attendus à Frankfurt puis forfaits, Ingrid Klimke & Vayron étaient aujourd'hui eux aussi de retour à la compétition après les Championnats d'Europe de Crozet. Parfois un peu court et d'un contact résistant, le gigantesque fils de Vitalis de 15 ans affichait comme à son habitude des trots allongés spectaculaires, des appuyers élastiques, mais aussi des pirouettes qui restent délicates. Avec un 72.848%, ils étaient seconds. Quasi assurée de décrocher son billet pour la Finale Coupe du Monde de Forth Worth, Larissa Pauluis n'en reste pas moins fidèle cette année encore à Lier où son First Step Valentin et Charlotte Defalque faisaient hier leurs débuts en CDI avec un encouragent 69.891% qui leur permettait d'être 5 èmes. La souriante belge et son KWPN de 16 ans abordaient leur reprise de manière prudente. Année après année, le CDI de Lier s'est forgé une solide réputation. Pilotée par Wim Verwimp, Lier ne cesse en effet d'attirer les meilleurs cavaliers ; un événement devenu, outre les étapes Coupe du Monde, un des indoors les plus importants d'Europe. Ils étaient d'ailleurs 41 à prendre le départ d'un Grand Prix du 3* relativement ouvert ! Bonne opération pour Thomas Wagner & Escolar's Emil FRH : pour leur premier CDI, ils sont en effet èmes. Le Champion d'Allemagne 2013 des cavaliers allemands professionnels et ce hongre de 11 ans par Escolar et Contender prenaient en décembre la 2 ème place de la Finale du circuit Louisdor derrière Isabell Werth & Viva Gold Old. Doté de beaucoup de puissance et de rebond au trot, le bai ne commettait pas de faute majeure même s'il présentait un changement de pied au temps joint et quittait la piste belge récompensé d'un 70.500%. La Mannschaft n'a pas fait le déplacement jusqu'à Lier pour rien puisque les germaniques prennent aussi la seconde place avec Lisa Müller & Gut Wettlkam's Mondrian. Sans faute majeure, le fils de Millennium de 11 ans semblant parfois délicat montrait quelques imperfections ici et là, en particulier dans le contact parfois instable et résistant ; une reprise homogène notée d'un 70.217%. L'Allemagne occupe aussi la 3 ème place grâce à nouveau Lisa Müller et son autre cheval Gut Wettlkam's Dantino. Si le fils de Dante Weltino Old manquait parfois d'équilibre et de soutien dans ses trots allongés, l'hanovrien de 10 ans n'était pas non plus tout à fait carré dans son arrêt avant le reculer et proposait deux pirouettes au galop qui auraien par ailleurs pu être plus montantes. Year after year, Lier's CDIs have built a solid reputation. Organized by international dressage rider Wim Verwimp, the show keeps to attract top riders; the event becomed in few years one of the most important indoor competitions in Europe. Yesterday, no less than 41 riders competed in the 3* Grand Prix! A good show debut for Thomas Wagner & Escolar's Emil FRH: for their first CDI, they simply ... won ! The 2013 German Professional Riders Champion and this 11-year-old gelding by Escolar and Contender took last december the 2nd place in the Louisdor Final , behind Isabell Werth & Viva Gold Old. With plenty of power in his trot, the bay made no major mistakes, even though he had a short flying change in the tempies. The Mannshaft's trip to Lier was definitely a good plan, as they also took second place with Lisa Müller and Gut Wettlkam's Mondrian. Despite a clear test, the 11-year-old son of Millennium, who sometimes looks a bit delicate, showed a few imperfections here and there, particularly in the contact, sometimes unstable and resistant ; a consistent test by the way, scored 70.217%. Germany also secured the third place thanks to Lisa Müller and her other Gut Wettlkam's Dantino. If the son of Dante Weltino Old sometimes could have shown more balance in his extended trot, the 10-year-old Hanoverian wasn't entirely square in his halt before the rein-back two canter pirouettes that could have shown a more uphill tendancy. A year and a half after his last CDI, Bohemian, Cathrine Laudrup Dufour's former top horse, returned to victory yesterday, winning the Grand Prix of the CDI 3* in Wellington; a return to the top of a podium for the chestnut ridden by the American Endel Ots, for the first time since May 2024. Week after week, dressage continues to fill the arenas at Wellington, with this week's CDI 4* and 3* competitions providing Endel Ots and Zen Elite Bohemian with the opportunity to return to international competition. Not entirely square in his entry halt, the Bordeaux gelding showed some signs of tension, in his extended walk and in an attitude that could have been sometimes improved. Active and always willing in the piaffe, the chestnut showed trot half passes that could have a bit more swing, and a canter straighter start. He was scored 69.261%, with Katrina Wüst and Elisabeth Max Theurer scoring 70.978%, and Łukasz Walter scoring 66.196%. The Zen Elite stables were also in second place in this Grand Prix thanks to the 69.065% of Christian Simonson & Fleau de Baian, while Tina Konyot & Grover took 3rd place at 68.913%. Un an et demi après son dernier CDI, Bohemian, l'ex-cheval de tête de Cathrine Laudrup Dufour, renouait hier avec la victoire en s'imposant sur le Grand Prix du CDI 3* de Wellington ; un retour au sommet d'un podium pour l'alezan piloté par l'américain Endel Ots, pour la première fois depuis mai 2024. Semaine après semaine, le dressage continue d'occuper les carrières de Wellington avec cette semaine un CDI 4 et 3*, occasion saisie par Endel Ots et Zen Elite Bohemian de retrouver le chemin de la compétition internationale. Pas tout à fait carré dans son arrêt d'entrée, le hongre par Bordeaux montrait quelques signes de tension, perceptibles au pas allongé et dans une attitude parfois perfectible. Actif et toujours volontaire au piaffer, l'alezan brûlé proposait par ailleurs des appuyers au trot qui auraient mérité davantage de rebond, un départ au galop qui aurait pu être plus droit ; un retour où il était évalué d'un 69.261%, avec aussi bien 70.978% pour Katrina Wüst et Elisabeth Max Theurer que 66.196% pour Łukasz Walter. Les écuries Zen Elite occupaient aussi la seconde place de ce Grand Prix grâce au 69.065% de Christian Simonson & Fleau de Baian, tandis que Tina Konyot & Grover prenaient la 3 ème place à 68.913%.
