Ridden in the past by several riders including Hans Peter Minderhoud and then the Belgian Nico Nyssen who succeeded him, Total Spezial reappeared today, this time in Germany.
The DSP by Totilas and Special D, owned by Dieter Stippl and approved in his studbook and in Oldenburg, began his career in Germany with Leslie Rohrbacher. He then went under the saddle of Kim Pfeiffer, Tanya Seymour who presented him at the 5-year-old World Championships in 2019 and with whom he took 38th place in the preliminary test with 71.400% and 23rd in the Small Final with 76.400%, then Bennet Conn (videos). Hans Peter Minderhoud then continued his training: the Dutchman brought him back to competition, first in national events with a Saint Georges presented in Delft in June 2023 evaluated at 72.794%, then internationally in 2024, on the Small Tour level of the CDI in 's-Hertogenbosch with a 4th place at 70.971% in the Saint Georges and a 6th place at 71.980% in the Inter I freestyle.
In 2025, it was the Belgian rider who took the reins. He wasn't competing with him in Belgium. Total Spezial returned to the show ring today in Germany, competing in an Inter II class, ridden again by Tanya Seymour; a comeback scored with a 64.386%.
