The Dutch Federation announced its team lineup for the World Championships in Aachen this morning:
Marieke van der Putten & Zantana
Dinja van Liere & Mauro Turfhorst
Thamar Zweistra & Hexagons Mr Magnum
Rowena Weggelaar & Don Quichot
réserviste : Lynne Maas & Electra
While the choice of the starting quartet ultimately proved straightforward for the national coach, selecting the reserve pair required more deliberation. Patrick van der Meer explains: "That is because the competition was extremely tight. After careful consideration, the choice fell on Lynne Maas and Electra. They will stand ready and participate in the training camp at the National Equestrian Centre in Ermelo at the end of July. Furthermore, Marieke and Thamar each have their own reserve horse: Kuvasz RS2 for Marieke and Kingsdale for Thamar."
