Larissa Pauluis & Justin Verboomen make it twice !

After an exciting Grand Prix (see HERE) with the top 3 achieving their personal bests, it seemed almost certain that, as in 2023, 2024 and 2025, the victory in the freestyle would not be earned by a German combination, but much more likely into Belgian hands.
The weekend ended in the best possible way for Larissa Pauluis & Flambeau... who, at just 16 years old, continues to progress. Winners in Mechelen... they achieved a second victory in Neumünster. Sometimes a bit unsteady, the KWPN gelding made no major mistake and was scored 84.015%. This is their new personal best !
Accompanied by discrete and powerful music, as if the idea were to highlight Djembe, Justin Verboomen and Xavier Marie's Oldenburg transported the German audience to a place where technique mistakes don't really matter. A little bit tense, Djembe de Hus had some difficulty relaxing at the walk; a "fault" related to its inexperience of that kind of arena. After many years watching a number Grand Prix … Justin Verboomen and Djembe de Hus certainly offer a completely different incarnation of the (very) often misused “harmony.” While it is known that Djembe de Hus is for sale, let's hope they stay together a little longer, just a little bit longer… for them first, for the sport… and for us too, simple spectators, comfortably seated to appreciate them for who they are, touched by a form of communion and emotion, by their small moments of grace mixing art and sport, by their demonstration of what dressage is/should be.
The podium was completed by Portugal's Joao Pedro Moreira and his Drosa Furst Kennedy, who also achieved a personal best of 81.080% after a consistent performance; a pair to keep an oeil on ...
