Isabell Werth, Charlott Maria Schürmann and Frederic Wandres sharpen their futur stars

Never short of horses capable of successfully carrying its colors, Germany saw four high-potential horses—Life Time FRH, Be Sure FRH, Veuve Clicquot FRH, and Back For Good—begin or continue their journey toward the Grand Prix in this afternoon's class.
This afternoon, Isabell Werth fielded Back For Good in the Inter II—a qualifier for the Louis d'Or circuit final—at a national show in Pinneberg, near Hamburg; this marked the bay horse's debut at this level. Bred by Uwe Ogonowski, Back for Good is a 9-year-old DSP stallion (by Ben Benicio out of a Quando Quando mare) who was approved by the studbook in 2020. Having competed very little so far, he previously campaigned in young horse classes in Germany with Anna Weilert, before reappearing in a Small Tour test with Australian rider William Matthew in 2024, and later with Pablo Escobar in June 2025—his last outing prior to today. Although his *passage* lacked sufficient rhythm and cadence, and the liver chestnut—who strongly resembles his grandsire—made errors in the one-tempi changes, he still managed to secure a score of 75.526%.
It was also a successful day for Frederic Wandres and Veuve Clicquot FRH—a mount that will remain with him next year despite his departure from the Kasselmann stables. The 8-year-old gelding by Vitalis, sold for €510,000 at the 2022 PSI auction, had previously won silver at the German 6-Year-Old Championship with Lars Ligus. Competing at the Inter II level under Wandres—who is also a member of the German national team with Bluetooth Old—the expressive Veuve Clicquot FRH delivered a consistent, solid performance, earning a score of 75.175%.
Life Time FRH—the 2024 7-Year-Old World Champion and 2025 winner of the Nürnberger Burg-Pokal (the German series final for top Small Tour horses)—had not competed since December 2025. Owned by the Luxembourg-based Contern Dressage stable, the stallion (by Livaldon out of a Fürstenball mare) made his Inter II debut under Charlott Maria Schürmann, scoring 69.649%.
Later that afternoon, Isabell Werth returned to the arena, this time with Be Sure FRH (pictured)—the Helgstrand stable stallion who was a finalist in the 2023 World Championships for 5-year-olds with Thomas Sigtenbjerggaard and the 2024 German Champion for 6-year-olds with Eva Möller. She had previously competed this Hanoverian in three classes at this level in Balve and Düsseldorf earlier in the season. The bay lost impulsion during his first piaffe and showed some difficulty transitioning into the passage; the test was scored at 71.404%.
