Since the end of his partnership with the Glock family, the Dutch rider Hans Peter Minderhoud has not appeared in competition: he last competed in Leeuwarden last October, on Small Tour level, with My Toto, a 9-year-old by Toto Jr.
The former Dutch national team rider started a new mount today, for now quite unknown, in the Saint George class at a national competition held in Voorthuizen, Gelderland: Kir Royal O. This 11-year-old mare byDesperado and Hemmingway, previously ridden by Miranda Rongen, participated in the 2021 KWPN selection process for the World Championships for Young Horses; an event her rider knew well, having been World Champion in the 6-year-old in 2007 with Deveraux before he was acquired by the Rothenberger family. Kir Royal O was the the Dutch Champion at the Z1 and Z2 levels and competed in the Small Tour at the national level.
With Hans Peter Minderhoud, Kir Royal O won today with almost 69%.
