Facilone FRH now partnered with Severo Jurado Lopez
A new chapter for Facilone FRH: the 14-year-old Hanoverian gelding is now competing under Spanish rider Severo Jurado Lopez—marking yet another change of rider for the son of Fürstenball, who has already built a career with Bianca Nowag-Aulenbrock, Stephanie Dearing, Marcus Hermes, Helen Langehanenberg, and Nicola Louise Ahorner.
Bred by Günter Lindwehr and born in 2012, Facilone FRH began his career with Bianca Nowag-Aulenbrock; at age four, he finished eighth in the German Championship. A year later, still with the German rider, he became the reserve champion of his studbook.
Stephanie Dearing subsequently took over the reins, and the pair represented Austria twice at the World Breeding Championships for Young Horses in Ermelo: in 2018, at age six, Facilone placed eighth in the Small Final, returning the following year to finish 14th in the seven-year-old division.
Facilone FRH then changed riders again to join Marcus Hermes, qualifying for the Louisdor-Preis final—reserved for the best young Grand Prix horses—where he finished eighth. After a brief stint with Eyal Zlatin in hopes of qualifying for the Paris Olympics, the gelding was entrusted to Helen Langehanenberg in 2024; she notably competed with him at the Falsterbo Nations Cup (pictured), where they won both the Grand Prix and the Grand Prix Special with scores exceeding 73%.
Since September 2025, Facilone FRH had been competing at the Grand Prix level with his owner, the Israeli rider Nicola Louise Ahorner; they had participated in several international shows, notably in Brno, Gössendorf, Achleiten, and Samorin. Their last international appearance together was in June, where they placed sixth in the Grand Prix at the CDI3* in Samorin.
The bay has now joined Severo Jurado Lopez; the rider competed with him in the Inter II at a show in Spenge-Wallenbrück in September finishing second with a score of 69.605%—and today rode him in their first Grand Prix together at the Kasselmann family's facility in Ankum
