The third and final selection trial for the World Breeding Championships for Young Horses took place in Ermelo on Monday, June 22. Following this selection process, the committee announced the combinations that will represent the Netherlands at the World Championships, held in Verden from August 4 to 9. The selection committee—comprising Johan Hamminga, Alex van Silfhout, and Janine van Twist—evaluated the horses during the final trial. They subsequently selected a strong squad of six combinations and two reserves per age category. "We are heading to Verden with confidence," said Johan Hamminga. "We always have to wait and see what the other countries bring, but we are certainly taking some very high-performing combinations this year."
