Although the Dane Daniel Bachmann Andersen has been a little less in the spotlight since Marshall Bell joined his owner and Vayron joined Ingrid Klimke's string of horses, the thirty-year-old remains focused on the top level, enough to have found a partner allowing him to keep Flash Gordon in order to consider the Los Angeles Olympics.
Daniel Bachmann Andersen recently revealed to Eurodressage that the chestnut gelding with whom he won the Aarhus CDI at the end of December and, more recently, the freestyle at the Hagen CDI 4* (pictured), had been acquired by the Ek family. "I'm so happy to have finally been able to keep a horse a little longer. They always end up being sold, returned to their owners, or something else. I'm really thrilled. It's an important step in my career. I love this horse. He's truly special."
At 12 years old, this son of Fiderbach, bred by Jan Lueder Cornelius, has already had few riders, having previously been ridden by Heike Osterkamp, Ann-Kathrin Osterkamp, Stefanie Hein, Holga Finken, and his owner, Nina Rathjens. Sent to the Luxembourger based in Germany, Mathis Goerens, the chestnut horse competed throughout the 2024 season in national events preparing for the Grand Prix.
Sofia Ek is the wife of Daniel Ek, the founder of Spotify. Daniel Bachmann Andersen regularly travels to Sweden to coach the mother of two daughters.
