Organized for the first time by Rom Vermunt, Gert Jan van Olst, Jeroen Witte, Marcel van Manen, Diederik van Silfhout, Jorg van Os, Peter Wetzelaer, Sjoerd van Leeuwen, and Sjaak van der Lei, the new Dutch Dressage Traders sale offered 12 dressage horses for sale.
The top price went to Next Romance, an 8-year-old gelding by For Romance and Havel, sold for €44,000 to a French client. Bred by H.J. de Wolde, this bay shares the same dam as Luxform's Nimbly, ridden up to Nations Cup level and the 2008 World Cup Final in 's-Hertogenbosch by Alex van Silfhout, and as Luxform's Popeye, the mount that took Diederik van Silfhout from Junior competitions to his first World Cups and Nations Cups. Until now, he competed in the Netherlands with Manuel Paredes, the Spanish rider from the van Silfhout stables, who presented him from young horses up to the Saint Georges.
