Capri Sonne Jr, the former Grand Prix horse of British rider Laura Tomlinson, has died.

Bred by Renate van der Vliet, this son of Rhodium and San Remo began his career in the Netherlands with Nathalie van der Endt before being ridden by Dinja van Liere, who was able to launch her professional riding career at Leunis van Lieren's Hexagon's stables. Selected to represent the KWPN at the 2012 World Championships for Young Horses, they took third place in the 5-year-old class; a competition for which they also qualified the following year.

Dutch Champion in 2014 at the Small Tour preparatory level, and 2015 Small Tour Champion, the black stallion was ultimately sold that same year to the Bechtolsheimer family for their daughter Laura, as a successor to their Olympic horse, Mistral Hojris. After a single outing at the 1* in Hagen in 2015, Capri Sonne Jr returned to the international scene 3 years later, in 2018, at the 3* in Aachen; a career which ended the following year after only 7 CDIs.

In 2023, the English rider told Eurodressage that the stallion had been retired due to the detection of a heart condition.

Capri Sonne Jr. is the sire of the stallion Hexagon's Kaygo.
