Blue Hors Veneziano gets a new rider.

Initially ridden by Daniel Bachmann Andersen—with whom he began competing at age five and won the German "Louisdor" circuit final for top young Grand Prix horses—Blue Hors Veneziano was sold two years ago to the German rider Carina Scholz. The chestnut now has a new rider.

Also seen under the saddle of Agnete Kirk Thinggaard—daughter of the owner of Blue Hors Stables—in the spring of 2019, the Oldenburg (by Vivaldi out of a Donnerhall mare) subsequently moved to Laura Kristine Thorup; with her, he won team silver and placed fourth individually at the 2022 U25 European Championships in Budapest. In 2023, Sophia Ludvigsen competed him at Medium and Grand Tour levels.

The stallion—now 16 years old, bred at the Blue Hors stables, and out of a dam who is the full sister to Blue Hors Don Shufro—continued his career with the German rider at CDI events in Ornago, Compiègne, Hamburg, and Troisdorf, achieving scores ranging from 66.435% to 71.021%. He has now taken on the role of a schoolmaster for Joan Fabienne Weske-Haas, an amateur rider from Hesse.

Blue Hors Veneziano has already sired several sons who have also been approved for breeding, including Vesterdams Vevalentino, Blue Hors Valenzo, and Venido.
