Grande favorite des Championnats néerlandais, Marieke van der Putten a pleinement confirmé son statut en remportant cet après-midi son premier titre chez les seniors ; un aboutissement pour celle qui fut longtemps dans l'ombre des Edward Gal, Hans Peter Minderhoud et autres Adelinde Cornelissen. A 44 ans, Marieke van der Putten n'est pas la cavalière la plus connue et identifiée du très grand public : il n'empêche que c'est une pilote d'expérience. Cavalière d'Edward Gal avant même que l'aventure Glock ne débute, on la découvrait d'abord sur les épreuves jeunes chevaux, et quels jeunes chevaux ... Vitalis, Boston STH, Che de Jeu, El Capone, Four Legends, Toto Jr ou encoreTrafalgar. Après avoir quitté Nicole Werner, Hans Peter Minderhoud et Edward Gal en 2017, elle intégrait en dans la foulée les écuries RS2 Dressage de Saskia Lemmens avec le succès qu'on lui connait depuis et un piquet de chevaux notamment composé du spectaculaire étalon Jameson. Associée à sa jument de tête 12 ans, Zantana RS2 N.O.P., Marieke van der Putten obtenait près de 78 % sur le Grand Prix de ces Championnats, devançant la Championne en titre, Dinja van Liere en selle sur Mauro Turfhorst, de près de 2,5 %, à 75.522%. La quadra et la fille de Zonik confirmaient dans la reprise libre aujourd'hui avec un 87.840%, tandis que l'argent revenait à Dinja van Liere et son jeune étalon de 9 ans également issu de Zonik à 82.875% et le bronze à Marlies van Baalen & Habibi DVB grâce à une reprise libre notée d'un 79.145%. Marieke van der Putten, the overwhelming favorite at the Dutch Championships, fully confirmed her status by winning her first senior title this afternoon; a culmination for someone who was long in the shadow of Edward Gal, Hans Peter Minderhoud and other Adelinde Cornelissen. At 44, Marieke van der Putten isn't the most well-known dutch rider to the general public, but she is nonetheless an experienced competitor. Riding for Edward Gal even before the Glock adventure began, she first made her mark in young horse classes, and what young horses they were... Vitalis, Boston STH, Che de Jeu, El Capone, Four Legends, Toto Jr, and Trafalgar. After leaving Nicole Werner, Hans Peter Minderhoud, and Edward Gal in 2017, she immediately joined Saskia Lemmens' RS2 Dressage stables, where she has enjoyed considerable success ever since, riding a string of horses that notably includes the spectacular stallion Jameson. Partnered with her top 12-year-old mare, Zantana RS2 N.O.P., Marieke van der Putten obtained nearly 78% on the Grand Prix of these Championships, ahead of the reigning Champion, Dinja van Liere riding Mauro Turfhorst, by nearly 2.5%, at 75.522%. Une semaine après la Coupe des Nations, le dressage restait bien installé à Lier pour le Championnat national ; une proximité qui expliquait en particulier l'absence de Justin Verboomen et Larissa Pauluis mais qui dégageait clairement la route aux autres concurrents, à commence par Wim Verwimp et son impressionnant Jedaï de Massa. En 1994, Wim Verwimp remportait le titre de Champion de Belgique avec Clyde. Plus de trente ans plus tard, le belge se retrouve au sommet. Lorsqu'il disputait son dernier CDI en 2014, un retour au plus haut niveau paraissait improbable. Pourtant, dix ans plus tard, il est à nouveau en pleine lumière et clairement parti pour s'inviter dans l'équipe des Championnats du Monde. Associé à Jedai de Massa, il remportait jeudi le Grand Prix et prenait, par la même occasion, la tête du classement provisoire « j'ai réalisé une très belle reprise et je suis ravi que nous ayons pu confirmer notre forme de la semaine dernière » commentait-il alors. Commercialisé par Pamfou Dressage en Corée du sud à Eon Jin Chin, le fils de Don Juan de Hus, vice-Champion de France des 6 ans en 2020 avec Nicolas Giraud puis passé sous la selle de Cathrine Laudrup Dufour, prenait samedi la seconde place du Grand Prix Spécial à 69.553%, à un cheveu de Lestor, monté par Jeroen Devroe à 69.872%. Selon Jeroen van Lent, sélectionneur de l'équipe nationale belge, l'impact des conditions météorologiques s'est clairement reflété dans les scores « j'ai eu une impression très positive des deux premiers jours. Nous avons constaté un peu plus d'erreurs qu'au Grand Prix, mais cela était certainement dû à la météo. Le travail au trot était généralement bon, voire très bon, mais au galop, nous avons vu apparaître quelques erreurs. Par la suite, les juges ont même remarqué qu'il n'y avait pas eu une seule reprise sans faute. » Si la libre était remportée par Jeroen Devroe & Lestor à 75.145%, la seconde place de Wim Verwimp & Jedai de Massa à 74.19%, leur permettait tout de même de conserver l'or au classement général dont le podium était complété par Suraya Hendrikx & Dear Friend 2 grâce à 209.894 au cumul des 3 épreuves. Après quelques semaines denses en compétitions internationales, le week-end est plus calme en Europe, aussi en raison des Championnats nationaux qui se succèdent : après Vierzon il y a quelques jours, c'est la Belgique et les Pays-Bas qui procèdent en ce moment aux couronnements de leurs Champions. Néanmoins, du côté de l'Europe de l'Est, les étapes de la Coupe du Monde s'enchainent : Olomouc la semaine dernière, Lipica cette semaine, Brno et Gosciszow la semaine prochaine. C'est donc à deux pas de la frontière italienne et la touristique Trieste, que les dresseurs avaient rendez-vous, dans le temple du cheval lipizzan. Vendredi, le Grand Prix du CDI 3* tombait dans le giron de l'Autriche avec la victoire d'Ulrike Prunthaller et sa Fleur TSF. Parfois les postérieurs loin dans ses arrêts, la baie de 14 ans manquait un peu d'activité dans ses piaffers. Outre un contact de temps en temps perfectible, elle montrait surtout une ligne de changements de pied aux deux temps fautive. Elles quittaient donc la piste avec une note de 69.130%, soit leur second meilleur résultat à ce jour puis remportaient également en début d'après-midi le Grand Prix Spécial à 70.277%. Habitué du concours slovène de Lipica auquel il participait pour la première fois en 2015 et où il s'imposait au fil des éditions avec Lights of Londonderry, Zo What et Jolene, Alexandre Ayache avait à nouveau choisi cette compétition pour poursuivre sa préparation pour les Championnats du Monde d'Aix la Chapelle de sa Ruling Olivia et, au passage, une seconde expérience en Coupe du Monde pour la Championne de France Pro Elite 2025. Très active et expression sur son premier trot allongé, la fille d'Olivi née chez Harli Seifert montrait un bon enchainement arrêt/reculer, deux pirouettes au galop bien serrées et un travail par ailleurs homogène avec malgré tout un changement de pied au temps joint ; une reprise victorieuse évaluée d'un 70%, comme sur l'étape Coupe du Monde de Lyon, et jusqu'à 72.50% pour Larysa Velyka. Jolene était elle aussi du voyage : montée par la jeune australienne Jazi French, vue en début d'année en selle sur Syriana l'ex-jument de Grand Prix de célèbre Mary Hannah en épreuves Jeunes Cavaliers : la fille de Johnson permettait à la cavalière de 21 ans de remporter l'Inter II U25. Retour à Lipica aussi pour la franco-israélienne Constance Ménard : elle concourrait en effet sur ce concours en 2003 avec Vanine Avé, Lion et Aladin, en 2005 avec Lianca où elle remportait le Grand Prix Spécial et à nouveau en 2007. After a busy few weeks of international competitions, the weekend is quieter in Europe, partly due to the ongoing national championships: following Vierzon a few days ago, Belgium and the Netherlands are currently crowning their champions. However, in Eastern Europe, the World Cup continues: Olomouc last week, Lipica this week, and Brno and Gosciszow next week. So it was just a stone's throw from the Italian border and the tourist town of Trieste that the dressage riders met, in the heartland of the Lipizzan horse. On Friday, the CDI 3* Grand Prix went to Austria with a victory for Ulrike Prunthaller and her mare Fleur TSF. Sometimes with her hindquarters too far back in her halts, the 14-year-old bay mare lacked a bit of energy in her piaffes. Besides a contact that could occasionally be improved, she particularly showed a faulty two times changes line. They left the arena with a score of 69.130%, their second-best result to date, and then went on to win the Grand Prix Special in the early afternoon with a score of 70.277%. A regular at the Slovenian competition in Lipica, which he first participated in in 2015 and where he had been winning over the years with Lights of Londonderry, Zo What and Jolene, Alexandre Ayache had once again chosen this competition to continue his preparation for the World Championships in Aachen with his Ruling mare Olivia and, incidentally, a second World Cup experience for the 2025 French Pro Elite Champion. Very active and expressive on her first extended trot, the daughter of Olivia, bred by Harli Seifert, showed a good halt/ rein back , two small canter pirouettes and an otherwise consistent performance with, despite everything, a joined change in th'e one time changes line ; a test evaluated at 70%, as at the World Cup stage in Lyon, which allowed them to win. Jolene was also on the trip: ridden by the young Australian Jazi French, seen earlier this year in the saddle on Syriana, the former Grand Prix mare of the famous Mary Hannah in Young Riders events: Johnson's daughter allowed the 21-year-old rider to win the Inter II U25. The Franco-Israeli Constance Ménard also returns to Lipica: she competed in this competition in 2003 with Vanine Avé, Lion and Aladin, in 2005 with Lianca where she won the Grand Prix Spécial and again in 2007. This year she presents Donara des Blancs in the Petit Tour and Friedrich Schiller, the former mount of Charlotte Chalvignac Vesin in the Grand Prix. Full results HERE

Following the FEI General Assembly in November 2025 where restructured FEI Jumping Rules were approved, FEI Secretary General Sabrina Ibáñez said the sport had taken note of the request from several National Federations for a more harmonised approach to protocols, regulations and sanctions across all disciplines. As a result, the FEI Board recently approved the Terms of Reference for a Horse Condition Task Force to be established, which will report to the Board. The Task Force, which will be led by an independent facilitator, will include Discipline and Regional Group Chairs, Veterinary and Athletes’ Committee Chairs as well as representatives of key stakeholder groups, National Federations and FEI Officials. The primary objective of the Task Force is to review current protocols, regulations and sanctions across all disciplines and recommend a more harmonised regulatory framework before, during and after competitions. Final approval of any recommendations would be voted upon by the FEI General Assembly. The FEI Board has approved the following objectives for the Task Force: Conducting a comprehensive review of the current rules regarding blood on the horse within the general and discipline-specific rulebooks. Identifying inconsistencies and gaps in the current regulatory framework. Assessing the rule proposals submitted by 1 March 2026 on the topic in accordance with the FEI Rule Revision Policy by National Federations and Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) stakeholders. Standardising the definitions, categorisations, and subsequent field-of-play protocols for FEI Officials when blood is detected. Ensuring that any proposed harmonisation upholds the FEI’s commitment to horse welfare, whilst acknowledging and providing for any strictly necessary discipline-specific nuances. Commenting on the Task Force, FEI Secretary General Sabrina Ibáñez said: “We have very different disciplines within our sport but we share a common goal of ensuring the best welfare for our horses and our athletes. Injury occurs in any sport but it is our responsibility as the governing body to review, reduce and regulate, where possible, using clear protocols, rules and sanctions that everyone in our sport and our millions of fans understand and respect. “We hope this joint Task Force of representatives across our sport will be able to review, discuss and debate protocols and regulations in a unified and open way and, where possible, reach common recommendations for approval by the FEI Board and ultimately the FEI General Assembly”. Invitations to join the Horse Condition Task Force have been issued this week with the aim of holding the first meeting on 29 June 2026 at which time the Task Force membership will be communicated.
