Un peu plus d'un an après qu'il l'ait rejoint, Isabell Werth continue de mener d'une main de maître son début de carrière internationale. Après un excellent début de saison sur le 3* de Herning, où l'étalon de 10 ans remportait le Grand Prix à 77.500% et le Grand Prix Spécial à 79.042%, Viva Gold Old était aujourd'hui le vrai et seul favori du Grand Prix du 4* de Mannheim. Peut-être davantage dans les aides de sa cavalière dans les allures diagonales, l'étalon ne s'arrêtait pas tout à fait d'aplomb avant de reculer, mouvement dans lequel il se fermait et résistait. Très à l'aise aux piaffer et passage, ample au pas allongé, Viva Gold discutait de temps en temps le contact et se contractait dans le travail au galop, fautif dans les changements de pied au temps, l'alezan changeait aussi de pied dans le galop allongé et montrait encore son grand talent pour les pirouettes. Not exactly without horses between Glamourdale, Ilegro or even Kjento which she is presenting in the Netherlands, Charlotte Fry also made her Nalegro debut yesterday on Inter II. Aged 8, this son of Painted Black & Negro, half-brother on his dam's side to Ilegro (with whom she won a bronze medal at last year's World Championships for 7-year-olds), shares the same granddam as Valegro. Bred by J. Hanse, Nalegro was Reserve Champion, then Champion of the Dutch circuit for young stallions. Selected for the World Championships at 5 and 6 years old, where he finished 15th in the Small Final with 79.600% in 2023 and then 14th, again in the Small Final, with 76.400% in 2024, Nalegro competed last year in the Small Tour of the CDI events in Lier and Exloo. Sélectionné pour les Championnats du Monde à 5 et 6 ans où il terminait 15 ème de la petite Finale à 79.600 % en 2023 puis 14 ème, encore de la petite Finale, à 76.400% en 2024, Nalegro évoluait l'année dernière sur le Petit Tour des CDI de Lier et Exloo. Netherlands, Portugal or Hungary, this first weekend in May gives pride of place to dressage. It is logically in the North East of the Netherlands and closed to the German border that Dutch dressage launched today some horses that could well represent one day in a soon future its colors ; a competition that had also been chosen by their leaders: Marieke van der Putten and her Zantana RS2 NOP. Without any major faults, they showed two nice trot half-passes, a seemingly effortless piece of work, even if the transition after the collected walk was initiated a little too early. This didn't prevent them from achieving a solid 75.891%, making them untouchable. Second place went to Dinja van Liere & Mauro Turfhorst with 73.022%. Very modern and nice, the stallion by Zonik, very much in his sire's mold, clearly came off the bit at the end of his right half-pass and, on the edge of defense, needed some time to continue in his left half-pass. A little too low and closed in the front in the piaffe, he also clearly threw his haunches to the left in the passage-to-canter transition. Further back, we find Thamar Zweistra & Hexagon's Magnum at 71.587%. Hans Peter Minderhoud presented Mister US and My Toto at this level for the first time. The 9-year-old Oldenburg stallion is undoubtedly a very talented horse, but still very very green. Sometimes unstable, tense in the rein-back, lacking balance in the piaffe, and showing a difficult canter start after the passage, Mister US is nevertheless a very expressive horse due to a particularly pronounced movement of his knees. However, he needs to gain maturity and experience in the ring, as he did numerous faults and was scored 66.761%, placing him 18th. A little later, Hans Peter Minderhoud returned to the ring with My Toto. While the 9-year-old gelding also showed rather abrupt first halt, he was also faulty in the flying changes and, likewise, relatively green. a first performance in CDI judged at 69.391%, i.e. 8th place and an equally certain potential which will need time to fully express itself. Pays-Bas, Portugal ou encore Hongrie, ce premier week-end mai fait la part belle au dressage C'est logiquement au Nord Est des Pays Bas et à deux pas de la frontière allemande que dressage néerlandais lançait aujourd'hui quelques chevaux qui pourraient bien représenter un jour prochain l'avenir de son équipe première ; un concours qu'avait aussi choisi leurs cheffes de file : Marieke van der Putten et sa Zantana RS2 NOP. Amsterdam, s'Hertogenbosch et aujourd'hui Exloo, Marieke van der Putten a manifestement décidé d'économiser, pour le moment, sa grande Zantana RS2 NOP en ne lui faisait pas encore franchir les frontières hollandaises. Sans faute majeure, elles affichaient deux excellents appuyers au trot, un travail au passage facile même si la transition après le pas rassemblé était amorcée un peu tôt ce qui ne les empêchait pas de récolter un solide 75.891% qui les rendait intouchables. La 2 ème place revenait à Dinja van Liere & Mauro Turfhorst à 73.022%. Très moderne et séduisant, l'étalon par Zonik, très typé par son père, sortait nettement de la main à la fin de son appuyer à droite, et, sur le fil du rasoir de la défense, avait besoin d'un certain temps pour poursuivre dans son appuyer à gauche. Un peu trop bas et fermé dans les piaffers, il jetait aussi nettement ses hanches à gauche dans la transition passage/galop. Plus loin, on retrouvait Thamar Zweistra et Hexagon's Magnum à 71.587%. Hans Peter Minderhoud présentait pour la première fois à ce niveau Mister US et My Toto. L'étalon Oldenbourg de 9 ans est assurément un cheval de grand talent mais encore très très vert. Parfois instable dans l'attitude, tendu dans le reculer, manquant de soutien dans les piaffers et montrant un départ au galop après le passage en deux fois et difficile, Mister US est néanmoins un cheval très expressif en raison d'un mouvement particulièrement marqué des genoux qui doit cependant gagner en maturité et en expérience en piste puisqu'il commettait de nombreuses fautes et était noté d'un 66.761%, soit la 18 ème place. Un peu plus tard, Hans Peter Minderhoud retrouvait la piste avec My Toto. Si le hongre de 9 ans également s'arrêtait assez brusquement, il était par ailleurs fautif dans les changements de pied et lui aussi relativement vert ; une première prestation en CDI jugée d'un 69.391%, soit la 8 ème place et un potentiel tout aussi certain qui aura besoin de temps pour pleinement s'exprimer. They housed the activities of the Dutch equestrian branch of the Glock family, led by Edward Gal, Hans Peter Minderhoud and Nicole Werner: the magnificent stables of Oosterbeek have reportedly been sold, with a future still focused on dressage. For the past few days, certain posts on social media have been attracting the attention of keen observers, and it was in the Dutch press and on the website horses.nl that the information was finally revealed today: the former Glock stables have indeed been sold to Jan Anker, co-owner of, among others, the stallion Hermes, previously ridden by Dinja van Liere. Horses.nl also indicates that the CEO of the Royal A-ware wilk group had also expressed interest in acquiring some horses from the Glock family, but this did not materialize. Very discreet, Kathrin Glock confided in Vanity Fair: "Glock's retirement from international equestrian competition and breeding was publicly announced in November 2024. The initial decision had been made by Gaston Glock in 2022. Its implementation took place gradually and consistently under my leadership over the following years. All Glock horses have been retired from competition and are now enjoying a peaceful retirement in a true equestrian paradise: GHPC Austria." Although Desiree Bleeker, Jan Anker's stable manager, did not wish to confirm the information to Horses.nl, the newspaper/website indicates that several reliable sources have confirmed the information. Part of the stables was also reportedly rented to Natalie Lankester, the wife of Sheikh Rashid bin Ahmed Al Maktoum.
