Four months after being sent to her the German Jessica von Bredow Werndl made her debut today with Dancier Gold FRH for their first competition. Bred by Georg Strübing, this son of Dancier and Weltmeyer was approved for breeding in the Hanoverian studbook in 2017 and then sold to Sprehe Stables for €142,000. Initially ridden by Anna-Sophie Fiebelkorn, he took third place in the German 5-Year-Old Championship. He then joined the string of Australian rider Simone Pearce, then riding for Gestut Sprehe: Dancier Gold FRH was subsequently selected for the 6-Year-Old World Championships, where he finished sixth. The Hanoverian continued his competitive career with Sabine Rüben, who entered him in 7-year-old classes and then in the Small Tour at the CDI events in Samorin and Ornago. After a year off, they competed at the Inter II/Grand Prix level in Germany in national events in 2025 and last time in December, where they finished 6th with 67.367%. Né chez Georg Strübing, ce fils de Dancier et Weltmeyer était admis à la reproduction dans le studbook Hanovrien en 2017 puis commercialisé aux écuries Sprehe pour 142.000€. D'abord monté par Anna-Sophie Fiebelkorn, il prenait la 3 ème place du Championnat d'Allemagne des 5 ans. Il intégrait ensuite le piquet de l'australienne Simone Pearce alors cavalière du Gestut Sprehe : Dancier Gold FRH était ainsi sélectionné pour les Championnats du Monde des 6 ans dont il terminait 6 ème. L'hanovrien poursuivait sa carrière sportive avec Sabine Rüben qui l'alignait sur les épreuves 7 ans puis sur le Petit Tour des CDI de Samorin et Ornago. Après une année blanche, ils concourraient sur le niveau Inter II/ Grand Prix en Allemagne en épreuves nationales en 2025 et la dernière fois en décembre, où ils terminaient 6 èmes à 67.367%. Absent from the Dutch team since the 2017 European Championships in Gothenburg, Diederik van Silfhout was nonetheless shortlisted for the 2024 Paris Olympics with Dante US—a stallion that, at the time, had not yet made his Grand Prix debut. The talented bay, now 10 years old, has been sold. Bred by Paul Schockemohle, this Oldenburg gelding is by Dante Weltino, the star stallion of Swedish rider Therese Nilshagen, out of a mare by Sir Donnerhall who also produced Glock's Total US. Ridden in 2020 and until spring 2021 by Renate van Uytert-van Vliet, then trained by Alex and Diederik van Silfhout, the dark bay finally came under the saddle of the rider from Luntheren. Fourth in the first test of the Dutch Championship at the "ZZ-Zwaar" level in 2022 with a score of 71.71%, they then took second place in the freestyle test with 76.48%. In 2023, they achieved 5th place in the Small Tour Championship thanks to two tests of 72.108% and 76.875% and began international competition at the CDI of Exloo and Geesteren where they won the Inter I free test in June 2023. They then started the Inter II at 72.255% and the Grand Prix in CDI in 2024 at 68.152% in 2024. Having only competed in the CDI at Exloo and Leeuwarden in 2025 and Tolbert in 2026, Dante US finally joined the United States, sold, according to horses.nl, to Miguel Latimer in Kentucky.

As the teams set to compete in the World Championships in Aachen are gradually being announced, Ireland will have to do without its top pair, currently ranked 123rd in the world. Although Abigail Lyle and Giraldo represented Ireland at the Paris Olympics (pictured) and previously at the 2022 World Championships in Herning, the 41-year-old rider has decided—and announced—that her 15-year-old gelding will stay home. "After careful consideration, I concluded that it was best for me not to pursue a spot on the team for the 2026 World Equestrian Games. While I am incredibly fortunate to have a wonderful, fit horse and a chance at selection, this is a deeply personal decision that I have thought through at length. The Irish team boasts an exceptional group of talented dressage riders this year, and I wish them every success. In the meantime, I fully intend to continue training and competing, but above all, to enjoy my horses and give them the best possible life. Thank you to everyone who has supported me and continues to do so—especially Horse Sport Ireland, Caroline Clarry, my sponsors, and Carl, Gareth, and Mark. I am truly grateful."
