Firmly in contention for a place in the British team for the World Championships in Aachen, Carl Hester presented a new horse in competition yesterday: Monet X, with whom he won an Inter B organized alongside the international events of the CDI 3* in Hickstead. Bred by Sandra Biddlecombe, co-owner of En Vogue, ridden by Charlotte Dujardin and Carl Hester, Monet X is a 9-year-old gelding by Guardian S and Bretton Woods. Co-owned by Susan Singer and Lucy & Daniel Bremner, both Grand Prix riders in the UK, the bay gelding had spent his entire career with Daniel Bremner. He began competing in May 2021, competing in Young Horse classes in the UK and notably finished 7th in the 7-Year-Old Championship in 2024. After a 2025 season spent on Saint Georges level, Daniel Bremner entered Monet X in his first Inter II competition last October, achieving a score of 67.65% which secured the win. Almost a year after her last competition, Habibi DVB was back in competition yesterday with her rider, Marlies van Baalen. Members of the Dutch team at the 2023 European Championships in Riesenbeck, Marlies van Baalen and her now 14-year-old gelding by Don Schufro had since represented the Netherlands only in Nations Cup competitions. In fact, it was in Rotterdam in June 2025 that they last competed, achieving a Grand Prix score of 71.957%, which earned them a third-place finish. Since then, they had been sidelined from competition due to an injury to the chestnut gelding. After an 11-month absence, the powerful KWPN won the Heeswijk-Dinther National Grand Prix with a score of 73.043%, taking the lead over Lynne Maas & Lolly-Pop M at 69.783% and Hans Peter Minderhoud and his young and no less promising Mister US at 69.638%.

Depuis, ils restaient éloignés de la compétition en raison problèmes d'une blessure de l'alezan. Après 11 mois d'absence, le puissant KWPN remportait le Grand Prix national de Heeswijk-Dinther évalué d'un 73.043%, prenant l'avantage sur Lynne Maas & Lolly-Pop M à 69,783% et Hans Peter Minderhoud et son jeune et non moins prometteur Mister US à 69,638%.

Après trois concours d'échauffement sur les internationaux d'Ornago, Bedizzole et Mariakalnok, Jessica von Bredow Werndl présentait hier Times Kismet, à Munich, sur son premier CDI 5* ; un concours qui, comme Isabell Werth à Hambourg (voir ICI), réussissait parfaitement à son (ex)équipe. Depuis la mise à la retraite de TSF Dalera BB, Jessica von Bredow Werndl est certes moins dans la lumière, ce qui ne l'empêche pas de montrer depuis le début de l'année les signes assez manifestes d'un retour sur le devant de la scène, confirmé hier par sa victoire dans le 5* de Munich. La très délicate Times Kismet proposait un début de reprise avec un premier trot allongé de bonne qualité : elle poursuivait en lâchant la main dans le reculer puis montrait une petite faute de rythme au passage ainsi qu'un premier piaffer qui avançait. La baie peinait à s'étendre au début du pas allongé puis affichait toujours quelques fébrilités dans le travail au galop ; une reprise malgré tout sans faute majeure qui leur permettait de remporter l'épreuve grâce à un 74.522%, soit leur nouveau record personnel. Ex-cavalier des écuries Aubenhausen, Raphaël Netz améliorait lui aussi son score de référence avec Great Escape Camelot : le fils de Johnson était ainsi noté d'un 73.783%. After three warm-up competitions at the international events in Ornago, Bedizzole and Mariakalnok, Jessica von Bredow Werndl presented Times Kismet yesterday in Munich, at her first CDI 5*; a competition which, like Isabell Werth in Hamburg , was a great success for her (former) team. Since TSF Dalera BB's retirement, Jessica von Bredow Werndl has certainly been less in the spotlight, but that hasn't stopped her from showing clear signs of a comeback since the beginning of the year, confirmed yesterday by her victory in the Munich 5*. The very delicate Times Kismet offered a promising start to her test with a good quality extended trot: she continued by loosening the contact in the rein-back, then showed a slight rhythm fault in the passage and a first piaffe that was too forward. The bay mare struggled to extend at the beginning of the extended walk and still displayed some nervousness in the canter; nevertheless, a test without any major faults allowed them to win the class with a score of 74.522%, a new personal best. Former Aubenhausen stables rider Raphaël Netz also improved his record score with Great Escape Camelot: the son of Johnson was rated 73.783%. Not one but two 5* CDI events are being held this week closed to the North sea: Munich, where Jessica von Bredow Werndl will present Times Kismet again, and Hamburg, chosen by Isabell Werth to continue her season with Wendy de Fontaine and to give experience to her very good Viva Gold Old. Not one, but three Isabel(l)s were at the start this morning. The rider from Rheinberg were victorious, unsurprisingly, with Wendy de Fontaine: the 12-year-old daughter of Sezuan left the arena with a score of 81.043%, consistent with her performance at the 5* in Herning at the beginning of March. Bolette Wandt's DWB mare easily outpaced the young, already-star stallion of the German rider: the 10-year-old Oldenburg, credited with 75.783%, had faults in the zig-zag and tempies flying changes. Despite this, Viva Gold Old held off the experienced Tope Hope Old, also out of Weihegold, ridden by Isabel Freese for Norway. La cavalière de Rheinberg s'imposait néanmoins sans grande surprise avec Wendy de Fontaine : la fille de Sezuan de 12 ans quittait en effet la piste récompensée d'un 81.043 %, dans la continuité du score qu'elle obtenait sur le 5* de Herning début mars. La DWB de Bolette Wandt devançait largement le jeune étalon déjà star de l'allemande : crédité lui d'un 75.783 %%, le Oldenbourg de 10 ans s'avérait fautif dans le zig zag et les changements de pied au temps. Malgré cela, Viva Gold Old tenait à distance l'expérimenté Tope Hope Old, lui aussi issu de Weihegold, monté par Isabel Freese pour la Norvège. Depuis quelques temps déjà, Hans Peter Minderhoud présente mois après mois, les chevaux qui composent désormais son piquet de chevaux. C'était à nouveau le cas hier avec ses débuts associé à Nero, une monture aperçue par le passé avec un autre cavalier néerlandais. Né sous le nom de Nero Platinum chez Titan Wilaras, Nero est un fils de Ferguson et Totilas d'abord acquis par Rom Vermunt. Confié à Bart Veeze (vidéo), le bai était à 3 ans 4 ème du circuit hollandais VSN Trophy ; une place qu'il occupait l'année suivante sur les épreuves 4 ans organisées en parallèle des Championnats du Monde Jeunes Chevaux avant d'être 15 ème du Championnat néerlandais. Sélectionné pour les Championnats du Monde des 5 ans en 2023, Nero terminait 10 ème de la compétition avant de prendre la 6 ème place des 6 ans en 2024. Eurodressage annonçait ensuite sa commercialisation aux Etats-Unis. Engagés hier sur un Saint Georges organisé non loin de s'Hertogenbosch, à Heeswijk-Dinther, Hans Peter Minderhoud & Nero étaient évalués d'un 69.118% ; une épreuve remportée par Femke de Laat & Nashwille SW à 70,637%.

For some time now, Hans Peter Minderhoud has been showing, month after month, the horses that now make up his string of horses. This was again the case yesterday with his debut alongside Nero, a mount previously seen with another Dutch rider. Born as Nero Platinum at Titan Wilaras stables, Nero is a son of Ferguson and Totilas, initially acquired by Rom Vermunt. First ridden by Bart Veeze (vidéo), the bay gelding finished 4th in the Dutch VSN Trophy at age 3; a position he maintained the following year in the 4-year-old classes held alongside the World Young Horse Championships before finishing 15th in the Dutch Championship. Selected for the 2023 World Championships for 5-year-olds, Nero finished 10th in the competition before taking 6th place in the 2024 6-year-old class. Eurodressage then announced his sale to the United States. Competing yesterday in a Saint Georges oragnized near 's-Hertogenbosch, in Heeswijk-Dinther, Hans Peter Minderhoud and Nero scored 69.118%; the class was won by Femke de Laat and Nashwille SW with 70.637%.

Après une première édition début avril, la seconde vente Dutch Dressage Traders, organisée par Rom Vermunt, Gert Jan van Olst, Jeroen Witte, Marcel van Manen, Diederik van Silfhout, Jorg van Os, Peter Wetzelaer, Sjoerd van Leeuwen et Sjaak van der Lei, proposait cette fois 13 chevaux de dressage à la vente. Son Top Price revenait à Nobilisyade Nvdw. Cet étalon par Habanna & Fruhling de 8 ans, approuvé au Mecklenburg, débutait sa carrière en Allemagne avec Gwendal Le Stunff. Il évoluait ensuite en CDI Jeunes Cavaliers avec Tetiana Sokolova et était aperçu plus récemment sous la selle du cavalier et marchand belge Nico Nyssen. Il rejoint le Royaume-Uni. Une jument de 4 ans a été vendue en France pour 22.000€ : Lerbjerggards Black Beauty.
